Last weekend was really exhausting. Pearl and I had our second start in agility in Hartberg and reached the third place. Jack and I had our therapy dog final exam in Ottendorf/Gleisdorf. It was really hard. Now we must relax the next few weeks.
Pearl and I had our second start in agility in Hartberg with the nice judge R. Smolnig. There was Pearl's second size measurement, which confirmed that she is a medium dog. *happy* Pearl apparently liked the judge and posed no problems. Brave mouse!=)
With us were Moni with Jenny, Anita with Heiko and Rosa with Fly and Amor. Rosa thanks for the take, help with the parcour and filming our run! Thank you you're the best!!!! =)
We took time with the A-run again and internalized the zones. Unfortunately, the equipment was not the best. The seesaw tilted very slowly, so Pearl jumped from it before it was at the bottom. (five errors) We won our first jumping with zerro errors and fastest time. * proud* There was a lot of fun. Overall, we reached the third place and Pearl got her first trophy with treats in it. ;-)
Conclusion: An agility tournament is much fun!! ;-)
Jack and me had to wake up early on Sunday and get ready for the final exam. Now it was really serious. There were two really strict judges from Vienna to check the prospective therapy dogs. Overall, only 4 of the original 8 teams came for the exam. We were the last ones, so we had to watch the other teams the whole morning and our nervousness increased more and more. The first team unfortunately inexplicably failed and the second team srcaped through the exam. Romana and Bodo were just ahead of us and mastered the exam as the best team. Congratulations to you! Although we could convince with our tricks, our wheelchair behavior and Jack's character, but some exercises were not good because of our tension . Jack convinced, however, and we PASSED the exam. =)
The exam was the most difficult and exhausting exam that I've ever had. *no joke* Now I'm glad to pass it and the next few weeks, Jack and I will relax from the last few days. =)
Thanks Romana for the take and to cool me down!! ;-)
